Role:

The Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for designing and building out instructional materials that are functional, intuitive, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design principles. The successful candidate will demonstrate and utilize industry best practices for learning needs analysis, project management, and curriculum development to define learning objectives, create course content and learning tools, and establish criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

Duties include:

?Design and develop entry- and advanced-level learning materials for both internal and external audiences. ?Support the development of curriculum and assessment materials for training in multiple settings, including instructor-led classroom events, distance and online learning sessions, self-paced online modules, and conference events. ?Collaborate with curriculum developers, content and style editors, as well as cross-functional teams to develop curriculum that is aligned with member needs and product releases. ?Take the lead with staff from other departments to develop content most efficiently by sharing up-to-date information about product features, functions, and performance. ?Engage with subject matter experts and curriculum developers to plan and develop training goals and objectives for individual courses, course series, and events. ?Collaborate with experienced facilitators to deliver internal train-the-trainer sessions for newly developed courses. ?Administer the learning management system, including vendor management, end-user training, project management, and security administration.
